Is Advertising Everything?

Advertising can only get a company so far. Advertising will not gain the company respect; it merely just catches one's attention to consider the product. Some companies spend billions of dollars on advertising and focus mainly on that. Meanwhile the company itself is run very poorly as a whole, and this is where they suffer. For example, Microsoft vs. Apple. Can you recall your experience with a Microsoft representative and say they were anywhere near the way an Apple representative stands behind their company?
